Almost

Not quite. Missed it by that much, but hey, power to ya.

Work In Progess

The melodies and bg synths are VERY COMPLEX, but with them all being the same lead, it's really hard to pick out and differentiate the different sections of the song and really appreciate the music being played.

frirk responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll remember it for my next song

Genre?

I think it's interesting that this ended up in the Techno genre. I mean, yes, it uses techno synths and leads, but I definitely feel this is a FUNK PIECE. I do appreciate the work that was put into this, even though it's not my cup of tea.

We're still debating on it. So far we have one vote for techno and one vote for funk from the community. Hopefully we'll get a better idea where we should place this song as we get more feedback.

Thank you for the feedback!

A little plain

I can see where the influence is but I'm not sure there's much to this song.

I can tell that you did put time and effort into it, but it just seems a little plain to me.

good effort though.

Daydream-Anatomy responds:

Thank you:3

Captivating

Using the piano as a lead was a very nice touch. This song is...well, I hate to use the same word twice, but captivating. Has an almost, SBK simplicity to it. I would have chosen something to offset the bass myself, but that's just a personal opinion. I think this is another phenomenal song by you ^_^

SBK-like is very high prasie! Thanks for the review! Sorry I didn't notice it earlier haha

Interesting

The melody is a little bit too haphazard for my taste, but I do agree with your description. And it is well put together none the less.

Good job ^_^

aryst0krat responds:

I agree with you 100% on the melody, at least if you listen to the more subtle one. I like the more obvious one, though.

I'd like to work on this some more, but I don't have the project file for it ):

This is an amazing piece

I absolutely adore the chord progressions, especially in the beginning of this song. This is a great addition to the audio portal and I am most DEFINITELY adding it to my favorites and checking out your other stuff ^_^

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, and I'm always happy to hear people are checking out our stuff :D

I'll get back to you on the chord progressions, I just have to go look ^^;

Trance-enducer alert!!!

I love this song. I thought it couldn't get any better,

I've been wrong before ^_^

This was awesome. You should approach it like you did Lavender Town if you do it again though. And the piano in the middle was flippin amazing. I...well, I have nothing else to say. Good job ^_^

VGSongbird responds:

Aww thanks sister friend ^_^

lol f*** yeah!

Pretty sweet. Could be my euphoria about this game talking, but I thought it was hella tight ^_^

VGSongbird responds:

Yeah I worked really hard on it for hells of weeks; it still needs improvement of course, but yeah.

"Where's Krobelus?"
"I haven't the faintest idea"

lolz

Mreh. Umm.

It seemed like you got the melody, but I couldn't very easily decide what key it was in. Sorry :S

I'm an aspiring VG Music composer. Do alot of remixes from classic games like Zelda, Mario, but also some more obscure ones too. I also post lots of original works, so feel free to scope em out ^_^
